Hogwarts has never been so exciting!
With this careful casting, we can expect a Harry Potter series that resurrects familiar heroes – in a contemporary, diverse, and deeply immersive way. Young talents take on the lead roles, while key characters are played by experienced stars. The potential is therefore enormous.
Why I’m looking forward to the new series – despite nostalgia
I grew up with the Harry Potter books. When the first film came out, I was the same age as Harry – and like so many others, I eagerly followed every new book, every film, and every twist at Hogwarts. The films have become a part of my home to this day – especially at Christmas time, when they flicker across the screen year after year, exuding that special magic.
I find the idea of rediscovering the universe in series form all the more exciting. Of course, there's a certain amount of skepticism: Can a new cast really evoke the same feelings? Will beloved moments be changed or deepened?
But that's precisely what makes it so interesting: Harry Potter is being retold, with more room for details, character development, and perhaps even scenes that never made it into the films. I'm looking forward to seeing familiar stories with a fresh perspective and being part of a new generation of fans who get to experience their own version of Hogwarts.
The Harry Potter universe has accompanied me for half my life, and I'm ready to be enchanted again.
